Rats in garden

Location Location Location – is your garden a perfect residence for rats?

Rats need three things: food, shelter and water.  If a rat can achieve these, it is likely to stay.

  1. FOOD: bird feed (seed, fat balls, bread), composting food waste (vegetable peelings, egg shells), windfall apples, open dustbins
  2. SHELTER: under sheds and decking, overgrown shrubs, clutter
  3. WATER: ponds, bird baths, puddles
